Sitestack and CompanyCam

Sitestack or CompanyCam?

CompanyCam is a polished photo app for trades, mostly in the US. Sitestack starts with the same photo habit, then adds the records a UK building firm needs around it.

Checked 24 October 2026 against each company's public pages.

Cost

What it costs.

CompanyCam charges like this: Four plans in US dollars, billed annually, with a few users included and an extra charge for each further user. No free plan; a free trial is offered.

Fair is fair

Where CompanyCam is stronger.

We would rather you pick the right tool than the wrong one.

  • Photo polish and reach

It lists hundreds of thousands of users and strong app store ratings. Its photo, video, annotation and timeline tools are mature.

  • Proposals, invoices and marketing

It adds sales tools such as proposals, deposits, invoices and review requests, which suit small trades businesses. Sitestack is not an estimating or invoicing tool.

  • Integrations and mobile apps

It lists 60 plus integrations and native phone apps. Sitestack runs in the browser on a phone and does not have an App Store app yet.

Our side

Where Sitestack is stronger.

  • More than photos

RFIs, submittals, variations, permits, RAMS, toolbox talks, fire stopping records, roll call and contract administration sit in the same app. The CompanyCam home page does not list these.

  • Built for the UK

Prices in pounds, Part L photo evidence, JCT and NEC4, fair payment flags, UK data hosting.

  • Free logins for your supply chain

CompanyCam charges per extra user. Subcontractors, consultants and clients are free on Sitestack.

  • A lower price as the team grows

At ten staff the difference is in the cost table above. Check both pricing pages for current figures.

The short answer

Which should you pick?

Pick CompanyCam if

You are a small US style trades business that wants the best photo app, plus proposals and invoicing, and works mostly in dollars.

Pick Sitestack if

You run UK building jobs and need photos, diary, snags, variations, registers and safety together, with your supply chain on board.

Questions

Sitestack or CompanyCam: questions.

Is the CompanyCam price per month or per year?
Its pricing page shows $63, $129 and $199 as monthly figures billed annually and does not label the period in every place. Check the page before you budget.
Can Sitestack do what CompanyCam does with photos?
Sitestack records date, time and location on photos, stores them per job and uses them in reports, snags and Part L evidence. CompanyCam has more mature photo tools such as annotation and a larger set of integrations.
