Work in buildings that stay in use

Live Environments helps you tell the people who use a building what is happening, keep to the hours you have agreed, and hand areas to the works and back. It suits schools, care homes, offices in use and healthcare buildings.

Best for: Contractors working in schools, care homes, offices, healthcare buildings and other places that stay open during the works.

Keep the occupier informed

  • Occupier notices

Log a notice to the people who use the building, such as noisy work or a shutdown. The log shows what was sent, to whom and when.

  • Acknowledged by link

The occupier acknowledges a notice from an emailed link. An acknowledgement confirms the notice was received, nothing more.

  • Working windows

Record the hours the occupier has agreed, quiet periods and blackout dates, and who confirmed them. A permit that clashes with a confirmed window shows a warning, and a window can be set to refuse it.

Handing over by shift and by zone

  • Shift handover

Hand an open permit to the next shift. The incoming person accepts it, and both are recorded.

  • Zone handover

Record an area being handed to the works, and handed back to the occupier, against a checklist. Both sides sign, and the hand back can be signed from an emailed link.

  • A checklist for each stage

The checklists cover services made safe, routes and signage, fire exits kept, photos of the condition and whether the area is fit to reoccupy.

  • A reoccupation record

The completed hand back run gives you a PDF that shows what was checked and who signed.

The healthcare pack

Healthcare is one kind of occupied building. The same tools work in any building that stays in use.

  • Infection control risk assessment

Record an infection control risk assessment (ICRA) for the work, with the measures that go with its class.

  • Infection control checks

Run daily and weekly infection control audits with photos of barriers. The infection prevention team can sign off a stage.

  • Water shutdown steps

Record a water shutdown and recommissioning, step by step, with the person who signs it off.

  • Healthcare talks and permits

A set of toolbox talks and client issued permit types for healthcare work is ready to adopt, with permits run through Safety Pro. Review each before it runs.

What Live Environments costs

Every add-on is on while you try Sitestack. Keep the ones you use.

What it does not do. Sitestack records notices, windows and handovers. The occupier decides its own hours, rules and clinical standards, and the hours and notice periods in Sitestack are the ones you enter, not set rules. Check your own obligations.
