Permits to work and site safety records, kept on the job

Safety Pro holds your permits to work, impairments, incidents, fire stopping register, and inspections. Safety Writer is included.

Best for: Contractors who run permits, hot works or fire stopping, and anyone working on a live site.

Permits and fire systems

  • Permits to work

Ready made types cover hot works, work at height, confined space, electrical isolation and digging. You check each type and adopt it before it runs, so it matches how your site works.

  • Hot works

A hot works permit carries a fire watch and a final check before it is cleared. The permit holds the record of both.

  • Isolations and handover

Record electrical and fire alarm isolations against the permit. An open permit can be handed over at shift change and accepted by the incoming person.

  • Impairments

Log a fire or life safety system that is out of action, with the measures in place and a time to reinstate it. You record the reinstatement and its test result.

Incidents and fire stopping

  • Incidents and near misses

Record what happened, where, who was involved and what was done. Add the investigation and what you learned.

  • RIDDOR reminder dates

For injuries and dangerous occurrences, the person assessing records whether it looks reportable and sees a reminder date. You report to HSE yourself and note the reference here.

  • Fire stopping register

Record each seal with its location, the product used, the installer and photos. Inspect it, record the result, and note when it is closed up.

  • Close up and evidence

A seal that is awaiting inspection or has failed stays visible, so it is not covered by accident. The record is there if someone asks later.

Checks and inspections

  • Checks and statutory inspections

Set up recurring inspections such as scaffold, excavation and lifting equipment, and see what is due. Suggested intervals are shown as unchecked until you review them.

  • Gate kiosk (in every plan)

Pair a tablet at the gate so people sign in and out, sign on to a talk, stop work or report a near miss. It works only for those acts and is never a staff login.

  • Fire roll call (in every plan)

Start a roll call and mark people as accounted for, from the list of who is signed in. It can be used from the phone.

  • Safety Writer included

Writing RAMS in the app and toolbox talk presets come with Safety Pro. See the Safety Writer page for what that adds.

What Safety Pro costs

Every add-on is on while you try Sitestack. Keep the ones you use.

What it does not do. Sitestack records what your team does. It does not issue permits, certificates or safety documents for any authority, and it does not report to HSE. You assess RIDDOR and report to HSE yourself, and you check your own legal obligations. Permit types and inspection intervals are starting points you review before use.

Questions

Safety Pro: what people ask

How much does Safety Pro cost?
£39 a month ex VAT, per company. It is not charged per seat, and the price is the same on every plan. Safety Writer is included. Annual billing is ten months for twelve.
Does Sitestack report RIDDOR to HSE for me?
No. Sitestack records the incident, your assessment and a reminder date. You report to HSE yourself and can record the reference against the incident.
Does Sitestack issue permits on behalf of a client or authority?
No. It keeps your own permit record, and a record of permits your client issues. It does not issue any safety document for a network operator or authority.
Are the permit types and inspection intervals ready to use?
They are ready made starting points. Each shows as unchecked until someone on the job reviews it and saves it as their own.
Do my subcontractors need to pay?
No. Subcontractors, consultants and clients get free logins. Only your own staff seats are paid for, and the Safety Pro price is flat per company.
What happens if I switch Safety Pro off?
Your records stay readable and exportable. You can no longer start new work in it, such as a new permit or seal. Safety critical acts already in progress, such as closing an open permit, are not blocked.
